Frequently Asked Questions

How do you produce your prints?
Most prints are created on our professional quality printers using chromatic inks.  Orders for large prints and special orders such as canvases are sent to our processors.  All of our prints will last for many years if treated with the same care as you would any other artwork.

How are soft copy images supplied?
Soft copy images are supplied on CD to ensure that you always have a copy of the image as purchased.  If you are in a particular hurry for your images we are happy to email them to you in advance of the CD arriving in the post.

What equipment do you use?
We use Canon SLR Cameras combined with Professional Canon lenses.  An interesting fact is that our standard camera and lens combination weighs about 3kg (That's about 6½ lbs in old money!).

Why is my dog missing from the pictures you took?
We concentrate on getting the best image possible from any particular class that is running at an event.  That means we take fewer pictures but try to get the optimum combination of light, camera angle and, if possible, the best background.
Also, on occasions, we miss the shot!  This often happens if your dog approaches an obstacle from an unusual angle or jumps unexpectedly high etc.  We try our best but we're not perfect!

Do you have any recommendations for taking our own agility pictures?
To catch the best shots unfortunately you do need the high-end equipment of the type that we use.  In particular the shutter delay on many compact cameras makes taking agility pictures very difficult.  If you are going to try to take pictures concentrate on one piece of equipment and, if you can, manually focus your camera on the jump before the dog arrives.  You will get a lot of missed shots but with modern digital cameras at least they don't cost you anything!

Will you distract my dog?

We try not to distract any dog during it's run and for most of the dogs there isn't a problem.

If you think your dog is going to be distracted by us just ask the ring party to move us away during your run.
